Shipping chocolates to arrive in perfect condition can be challenging but don’t worry, we have been doing it successfully for a long time. Please familiarize yourself with our shipping rates and policies before you order.

Order Shipping Schedule

 

Order Placed Monday

Ships out no later than Tuesday.

 

Order Placed Tuesday

Ships out no later than Wednesday.

 

Order Placed Wednesday

Ships out same day if placed before 12 PM CST.

Held until following Monday if placed after 12 PM CST.

At our discretion, Economy shipments to residential addresses may ship on Thursday for a Saturday delivery.

 

Order Placed Thursday

Ships out same day if placed before 12 PM CST with a Next Day ship method or Economy to a local address (MO, KS, IA, NE).

Held until following Monday if placed after 12 PM CST.

 

Order Placed Friday

Ships out no later than the following Monday.

At our discretion, we may ship Economy to local (MO, KC, IA, NE) residential addresses for delivery on Saturday or Sunday.

 

Order Placed Saturday or Sunday

Ships out no later than the following Tuesday.

We do not ship out packages over the weekend.

Shipping Methods & Timelines

  • Economy* - 1 to 5 Business Days
  • 2-Day Express* - 2 Business Days
  • Next Day - Express - Next Business Day
  • Saturday Delivery (Add On Service for Express methods) - Available for an additional fee (location depending) with 2 Day or Overnight shipping (Please call 816-842-1300 if you would like to place an order for Saturday delivery.)
    These shipping methods may only be used when the weather allows.
  • Shipping rates are flat costs per address based on chosen and/or available shipping methods. AK and HI shipments incur separate shipping fees.
  • Delivery timelines do not take unexpected weather delays into consideration, which may affect ship dates, and arrival dates. We cannot be held responsible for delays due to weather, incorrect address provided to us, or other circumstances beyond our control. We can not ship to P.O. or APO boxes. Re-routing or correcting addresses to packages that have already left our facility will incur a $20 charge to re-ship.
  • Ground (economy) shipping has no guaranteed delivery date. If you choose Ground shipping, please be aware that your package may arrive later than expected.

Apple Pay

Apple Pay and other 3rd party payment methods (such as Link or Google Pay) are offered at checkout for your convenience. Please be aware that these services will default to the Shipping Address registered to your account and selected as your default address unless directed otherwise. We are able to make adjustments before orders are shipped to correct addresses, but please be aware and double check that you have updated and saved the shipping address before submitted payment. Order Processing

We ship all online orders out of our Kansas City, MO headquarters. We try hard to get orders placed before 12 PM CST out same day, and others out as soon as the next business day but occasionally during peak holiday seasons, it might take over 24 hours to get your order shipped. If you place your order by overnight or 2nd day air, those take priority over ground shipments, and we will process those first. If you need your order by a certain date, then please call 816-842-1300, and we will help you with your order.

Shipping over the Weekend

Our shipments are mostly shipped out early in the week (Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays) in order to avoid having the chocolates sit over the weekend in an unconditioned warehouse.

If you are shipping a package to a warm-weather destination that would require it to travel and/or sit over a weekend, your package will be held until the following Monday to ensure minimal time in transit. If the weather permits, we may ship to arrive on a Monday by special request. Orders placed after 12 PM CST on Wednesday that are not Next Day Express method, will be held for shipping out until the following Monday. We may ship local (MO, KS, IA, NE) residential packages using Economy ship method out on Thursdays and Fridays at our discretion since they are typically one day in transit from our location.

Packaging

We take great measures to ensure that our chocolate is delivered fresh and in perfect condition. To reduce the risk of melted chocolate in transit to warmer climates (68 degrees and higher), we use insulated packaging and gel packs to protect the chocolates. It can get very hot in the back of a delivery truck! Our boxes consist of corrugated cardboard and our thickest temperature-control insulation is composed of mineral fiber and plastic that is either recyclable (depending on local facilities) or biodegradable. We strive to use as many recyclable materials in our packaging as possible.

Delivery Times for Businesses & Residences

FEDEX is our shipping vendor and does not deliver to P.O. Boxes or APOs. Deliveries to businesses typically occur between 8 AM and 5 PM and deliveries to residences can typically occur between 9 AM and 9 PM. FEDEX will deliver to residential addresses using Economy shipping on Saturdays and Sundays, otherwise deliveries occur Monday - Friday.

International Orders

At the current time, we are unable to ship to international destinations.

When Will My Order Arrive?

The majority of orders leave our Kansas City facility within 24 hours of processing, subject to inventory availability and delivery destination. In order to ensure the best possible product, orders cannot ship over the weekend most of the time. Thus, packages may be held until the following Monday to ensure minimal time in transit.
